About Karina - Speech Pathologist & Owner
Karina is the owner of Speech Pathology on Oak and a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, she graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology). Karina has worked with paediatric clients for over 14 years from under 12 months of age through to the high school years across both public and private practice in Sydney, regional NSW and London before making her home on the Central Coast.

Karina is passionate about helping children reach their communication potential and empowering parents to understand, advocate for and encourage their child’s communication development. She provides therapy using child and family centred principles and is neuro-affirming. She has extensive experience providing comprehensive assessment and intervention across a range of areas including:

Karina is committed to evidence-based practice and regularly seeks out new learning opportunities. She is trained in Sounds-Write, an evidence based approach to teach reading, writing and spelling. She has attended additional training in Hanen Program It Takes Two to Talk, More than Words and Talkability and is a Hanen certified Speech Pathologist. She is certified to use the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, 4th Edition.

About Toffee
Toffee is the family pet and as a home based clinic is around on site. She will typically be in a space separate to the clinic space however is always happy to say hello if you and your children are comfortable.
